Supplier Quality Engineering Manager

Location: Bangalore

Job Description

  • Overall responsibility for the quality of all sourced products
  • Implementation of quality systems and processes at vendor sites
  • Participate in product feasibility & technical reviews for the new & existing products and lead proactive improvements at supplier end
  • Lead vendor qualification process and conduct regular audits
  • Support the supplier identification, assessment & aiding in selection and development process of potential supplier for various commodities of new program
  • Drive performance measures at suppliers through Quality Management tools, Problem solving techniques and resolve supplier quality issues
  • Coordinate the customer complaints handling process
  • Establish long standing partnerships and a culture of continuous improvement with vendors
  • Lead and manage team of 14 Field Quality Personnel

Candidate Profile

Qualification: B.E in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or allied disciplines

Age: 30-35 Years

Experience:

  • 7-10 Yrs in Supplier Quality Engineering with strong links to Product Development and Manufacturing in any manufacturing industry with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Leading vendor qualification, audits and quality surveillance
  • Implementation of Quality Management Systems and control of associated documentation
  • Implementation of SQC techniques
  • Process driven and knowledge of Six sigma Methodologies
  • Proven track record of supplier quality enhancement and partnerships

Desirable:

  • Experience in Lighting or Automobile industries
  • Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt/Greenbelt
