Job Description

The Product Development Manager – Lighting Fixtures will lead and manage a team of mechanical, electrical and electronic designers to design state-of-the-art lighting fixtures. The primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage a team of 3-5 committed professionals
  • Understand customer requirements and develop product specification
  • Lead the development of complete fixture designs
  • Prototype building and testing
  • Interfacing with cross-functional departments - marketing, manufacturing, sourcing, quality and key vendors
  • Conducting design reviews
  • Resolve manufacturing issues and assist with product launch
  • Supporting continuous improvement of products and processes

Candidate Profile

Education: BE Mechanical/ Electrical or allied disciplines

Age: 27-32 Years

Experience of 5-10 Yrs in Product development in lighting industry

  • Ability to lead Product design and development activities with a high degree of independence.
  • Working knowledge of lighting system requirements and lighting fixture design is a must
  • Knowledge of applicable national and international standards for fixture design
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and virtual prototyping
  • Hands-on in rapid prototyping techniques
  • Good project management skills with understanding of product development processes is most essential
  • Good oral and written communication skills, and working in team environments
